The Innodal Laboratory is the result of a collaboration of graduate students from Laval University whose objective was to develop unique industrial processes based on syntheses created in the laboratory, in order to offer food safety to consumers. The mission of the Quebec City company is to innovate in food preservation by designing 100% natural and biological probiotics to fight pathogens.
Laurent Dallaire and François Bédard are the image of entrepreneurial success. The two young entrepreneurs have won numerous awards to date for their revolutionary business model. First, at the Osentreprendre Challenge, the duo left with the Grand Prix Entrepreneuriat Jeunesse, as well as the Coup de Coeur Ingéniosité at the national level, the 2nd prize Innovation technologique at the regional level and the 1st prize Innovation technologique in addition to the BMO Bank of Montreal Entrepreneurial Grand Prix at the local level. Then, at the ACFAS Business Genius contest held at the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, they won the jury’s 1st prize, in addition to being named the public’s favourite. At Startupfest, they won 1st prize for Quebec City and will participate in the Canadian final on July 11. Finally, at the PITCH DEVTEC/QUÉBEC INTERNATIONAL competition, the duo won first place, allowing them to obtain a pass to the San Francisco Biotech Showcase.
For these two young entrepreneurs, this is only the beginning and we will be pleased to welcome them at BÉNÉFIQ 2018 in the Espace Environnement d’affaires from October 2 to 4.
